Dear Community Partner,

On behalf of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Red Tail Squadron and the California Society of Extraordinary Women, we would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about the educational RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit we are planning to bring to the our area  in March 2020.

The CAF Red Tail Squadron was established in the mid- 1990’s to educate Americans about the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. Their
courage in overcoming racism on the ground and in the air during WWII, and the fine examples of citizenship they set when they returned from war, which contain life lessons for us all.

The CAF Red Tail Squadron has developed a unique educational program consisting of:

• A fully restored WWII-era P-51C Mustang – This signature aircraft of the Tuskegee Airmen painted with the recognizable “red tail”, is one of only a few like it still flying. It is a tangible piece of history to help people understand and appreciate the importance and legacy the Tuskegee Airmen as they fought

• The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit – Our fully functional mobile movie theater features “Rise Above,” a compelling original short film that tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and the obstacles they overcame to be able to fly and fight for their country during WWII. This immersive experience is housed in a climate controlled 53’ semi-trailer with expandable sides and equipped with a ramp and hydraulic lift to ensure access to all, comfortably accommodating 30 visitors for each showing. Because of its dynamic 160-degree panoramic screen, the film also creates the feeling of being in the cockpit soaring above the clouds in a P-51C Mustang.

We hope that you will partner with us by becoming a sponsor for the Rise Above Traveling Exhibit allowing us to bring it to our area on March 28, 2020.  Your generous donation will help us bring this inspiring legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen to students in the Inland Empire area, and give visitors a chance to get up close to the aircraft, talk to the pilot, or even take a flight themselves.

We thank you in advance for your donation or any assistance you wish to provide.
